The Montevideo Bureau’s directive, (ex Conglomerate Tourism Montevideo), received Francis, the head of Montevideo Police Commissioner Major (R) RICARDO PEREZ and 4 senior members of his team to coordinate security measures in the city, for the next high season tourism destination.
He also spoke of the new geographical distribution of tourism in the city, where areas such as Pocitos, Punta Carretas and Carrasco, have had a significant hotel growth, which demands a new vision on security in those areas.
It was agreed at the highest level of security available to the city for visitors today, compared to other destinations in the region.
The authorities, showed a wide knowledge of the subject, and were very receptive to the initiatives arising from the Montevideo Bureau.
